Performs detailed and complete histories, physicals, progress notes, and /or consultations in compliance with appropriate hospital and clinic operating policies and procedures. Services performed will include evaluation, data gathering, monitoring, implementation of patient management plans, diagnostic interpretation, performing therapeutic procedures as necessary, counseling and facilitating referrals as appropriate. Responsible for rendering professional care to the patient within the medical practice and the hospital when appropriate. Communicate in detail with referring physicians. Participate in peer review and quality improvement programs. Assist in complying with appropriate standards, regulations, and requirements. Bachelors Degree Required, Certified by the NCCPA. One year as physician assistant, oncology experience preferred. Must have OR experience. The person fulfilling this role must be intelligent, have sound medical judgment, possess intellectual honesty and have the ability to relate effectively with people and the capacity to react to emergencies in a calm and reasoned manner. Analytical problem-solving, excellent oral and written communication skills. |
